ÄNGELEN is a tragicomic musical one-woman show that I have written myself. In January 2003 a TV version was shown on Swedish television. The TV version is a little shorter than the live performance, which I last performed at Vasateatern in Stockholm on March 2-4.

ÄNGELEN is a mixture of clown, child and angel. A rather naive and very very sweet figure, that I think everybody needs to experience! When I was working at Göteborgs Stadsteater we had something called "at the eleventh hour", which simply was entertainment without a main thread, between 11 pm and midnight. I performed ÄNGELEN there at times, and it was very much appreciated. The audience started to name my character ÄNGELEN, and that had a nice ring to it, I thought, so now she is called Ängelen.

I wanted to make a show of her own for Ängelen, so then I wrote a very long text, and together with Michael Krönlein I composed music to prose that I had written before. The musical elements are accompanied by Bengt Lindqvist on piano and accordion, and Per V. Johansson on contrabass. I named the show after her name, ÄNGELEN, and she sings like a flower, absolutely divine!!! I have directed the show and myself, by myself, and it has not been difficult at all, since I knew all along how I wanted it to be.

ÄNGELEN is suitable for all ages.
