Background:
Cecilia was born in Linköping on August 14th, 1970 as one of six siblings. When she was in the compulsory school's seventh grade she got a small part (two lines) in "The Threepenny Opera", and that started her dream to become an actress, and it became even stronger when she watched the TV-series "Fame".

Education:
Theatre High School at Olympiaskolan in Helsingborg 1986-89, Skara Skolscen 1989-90 and Theatre College in Malmö 1991-94.

Breakthroughs:
On the stage, Cecilia got her major breakthrough in Shakespeare's "As you like it", at Göteborgs Stadsteater in 1996. After that she has often been engaged both on stage and in movies, as well as on TV and radio. Her breakthrough in movies came in "Shit happens" in 2000, in which she played the youngest sister "Tina", and on TV in the series "Fru Marianne", in which she had the starring role, "Marianne". (The writer and director of the series, Carin Mannheimer, has called Cecilia the best actress in Sweden). Worth mentioning is also the TV series "Taurus", in which Cecilia plays the female starring role opposite Boman Oscarsson. But for Cecilia, herself, the production that she is most proud of is her own one-woman show, "Ängelen".

Awards:
Cecilia received an award for best actress in a supporting role in 2003 for her performance in the movie "The Reunion". In addition, she was nominated in the same category the year before, for her role in the movie "Syndare i sommarsol". In 2006 she was nominated for a television prize for best actress in TV programmes for "God morgon alla barn", and in 2007 for the same prize for "Mäklarna". Furthermore, in 2007 she was also nominated for Guldmasken for best actress in private theatre for "Kvarteret Skatan".
